2002 Grand Canyon Trip

with

Bobby Eavenson, Anne Hafler, and Frank Williamson

June, 2002

Our trip began with only an idea; it developed into reality when Anne Hafler, Bobby's sister, suggested that we take her van. Her husband didn't want any part of traveling.

With Anne driving, Bobby navigating, and Frank (the official back seat driver, the three headed West beginning on Friday, June 7, 2002.

After a one-day visit with Bobby and Anne's family in Beaumont, Texas, the group headed for San Antonio, Texas. The first night was spent viewing River Walk and enjoying the group at the left at River Walk.

That night the three enjoyed more of River Walk and the Alamo. The following day the three went back for more of the same.

From there they headed west and stopped for a brief visit at the ghost town, Stein. Although there isn't much there, it is a must for anyone traveling on Interstate 10.

There is someone to greet you at the store, but they will allow you to walk through the site somewhat unhindered. There is a lot of folklore and history to be enjoyed at this site.
